About Today's Midwife

Today’s midwife is a skilled health care professional who provides high quality, comprehensive, women-centered care. While midwives are probably best known for their care of women during pregnancy and childbirth, they serve women throughout their lifetime.

 We offer sensitive, confidential, and holistic gynecologic and obstetrical care by understanding that each woman comes to us with their own unique experiences. Emphasis is placed on continuity of care where women and families form a partnership with their midwives that is flexible, empowering, and supportive. Midwifery care is centered upon the belief that pregnancy and childbirth are a normal physiological process and a profound event in women's lives. We ensure that women and their families receive complete and objective information in order to make informed decisions about their health care.

Midwives offer collaborative care with obstetricians, primary care providers and referrals to specialists as needed. 

Midwifery care is covered by private insurance carriers, Medicare, Medicaid, Ladies First, and many managed care programs, as well as military and federal employee health plans.
