What will my appointments be like?
Your appointments will give you plenty of time to ask questions and gather information, whether you are here for your annual check-up or for your prenatal care. All visits begin in the midwife's cozy office, where you and your partner will be invited to be active participants in your care. Toward the end of the visit, we will move to our exam room for the clinical portion of your visit where we may do a physical exam, check your blood pressure, listen to your baby's heartbeat, etc.
If you are seeing us for your prenatal care, our office nurses will meet with you periodically throughout your pregnancy to discuss nutrition, share information about childbirth education classes, help you create a birth plan and offer other information you may find useful. We also can inspect your infant car seats for defects or recalls, as well as teach you how to correctly install it in your car.
